  1. Maria says:

My children actually like some parts of this movie but get a little bored at times.
Very different to any other “kids” movies i have ever seen.
    Not very “kiddie” !
I didn’t find the cat very likable.
I found the princess and her dancing and singing rather provocative or perhaps it is just the way they have made her image quite “sexy”.

I actually like some of the music !

  2. Kristi says:

This was one of the most horrible movies I’ve ever seen! Pure torture!

  3. Debbie says:

This movie had a European “feel” to it. Some of the voices didn’t seem to match with the mouth action (Queen especially). But … I thought the animation was unique – very nice change from a Disney or American animated work. I loved the French songs at the beginning. The Wm Shatner voice was disgusting – an annoying fly buzzing like someone previously stated – catches it exactly. Why do we here in the States automatically think different is bad? It was very different – but charming in many ways – and I really enjoyed it! My husband fell asleep immediately – but nothing new there. Give it a chance!

  4. Raemann says:

OK. Well, I learned that it is a good idea to read things. Like… Instructions, contracts, synopsis… On the one hand I felt that it was exactly what the synopsis described. But then I watched it for pennies on Netflix and they have a more detailed coverage than what one might behold on the door of a coke machine turned movie dispenser. Admittedly this is not a movie for most folks here in the states, however it is interesting and its approach to a number of situations is classic Grimm (as in the fairy tales by the Grimm Brothers). The problem that we face is that too many macabre and angular tales have had their wild hairs plucked and their pimples popped by Disney so that everything is pretty. The people are pretty, the story is pretty, it is all just … pretty sickening sweet. I swear that Disney could make a children’s movie out of Rigoletto and everything would be all smiles in the end. Oh, Rigoletto? That is an opera. You folks prolly wouldn’t like it … un-pretty people are in it and un-pretty things happen and well, that just isn’t … well … Pretty.

I’m so glad to read the reviews that
I’m not the only fool to rent this thinking it was the REAL one from Dreamworks… I feel better now!

  6. Nathaniel Lozier says:

I truly wish I had known about this movie before we got suckered into renting this thinking it was the dream works. I wish I could sue them for the pain and suffering that my brain has went through with the first 10 min of this movie. We have a 3 year old, 2 year old and 10 year old. None of them were interested in the movie. After the first 10 minutes they were off playing with toys and wanting me to change the chanel. It is absolutely the worst excuse for a movie that I have ever seen. The 2 year old could have made a better movie! The only thing I have to say is next time I will read the full movie description at the red box before I rent the movie. If I had noticed William Shatner was the voice or even just in it I never ever would have rented it!!!! William Shatner could make a good movie suck, let alone make a bad movie worse! I could go on and on about this crappy movie but its making me madder the more I think about it. So Ill just say hope you find out before you watch unlike I did.

  7. Katy says:

    Horrendous.

  8. rita says:

This movie was so odd i had to see if i was the only one thinking how is it possible to create something so bad. Drunk queen, comatose king, japanimation princess…Puss had the most annoying shreiky voice ever. Was anyone else creeped out by the princess’s helpers? It was all so weird. My 2yr old fell asleep after a few minutes but i had to watch. It was really out there.

  9. JB says:

    The horror! DO NOT RENT!

  10. Haze says:

The only reason this movie might make some very undeserved money is because they were smart enough to decieve us into thinking this is the actual shrek puss in boots, kinda have to hand it to them on that one…. But for F@#$’s sake DO NOT RENT THIS sorry excuse for a movie!

  11. Elaine Aspire says:

this movie sux my dad got it for us thinking it was the one that was in theaters and what in the world these people are horrible and something is defanitaly wrong with their bodies and voices never ever watch this movie wast of money time and every thing else you can do in a 79minute movie hour and 16 minutes worst movie ever i just dont want to watch it any more stop it its too painfull help who ever likes this and who ever made it worst tast ever not funny not entertaning soo boring i want to be in school and school is boring

  12. julie says:

What the F-Bomb is this crap??!!! Ive never seen a movie as horrible as this! My husband accidently got the wrong one!! My six year old is so confused right now!!! Wow….my husband and i cant stop glancing at eachother….so many horrible things happening on our tv. Time to turn it off! It hadnt even been 30 mins. And the queen is trashed!!! Hahaha!!!! Shatner is sick!

  13. Amy Brunner says:

Wow, for a G rated film, there was an awful lot of questionable material for children. We rented this movie for our 3 year old thinking we’d have a nice family movie night. I couldn’t get past the absolutely distorted shapes of the female characters (could the princess’ butt have been any bigger?), and the queen who sounded like she was drunk. This has to be one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. William Shatner’s voice was so annoying that I could barely make it through the first half hour. We were thankfully able to distract our daughter from wanting to watch the rest of it!

  14. misty says:

I also rented it thinking it was the cat from shrek. This movie is murder! The worst ive ever seen! Totally gave me a head ache! Very aggravated

  15. sara says:

DO NOT RENT. This movie was worse then worse. Do not waste time or money

  16. Michelle Thomas says:

Dialogue= Horrible! Animation = Horrible! Voices= Horrible! Horrible Horrible Horrible! Is this even legal? The director totally fooled everyone by creating a 3D animated cat that looks like Puss n Boots and called the movie Puss N Boots! Mistake for renting it from red box! omg! horrible!!!!

  17. Donovan says:

Oh my gosh terrible. I had told my father the night that we watched Shrek that they made a new movie called Puss in Boots. He comes home today and puts it in. It kept on showing thiscompany called phase four, I thought that was . When the movie started I was confused, the animations looked like dreamworks at first, then I saw the gray clown dude, and the lack of funny jokes and knew this was the wrong movie, so I came to the computer to rant.

  18. Makaila says:

Well, Im glad that I’m not the only one who completely hated that movie. Well…….. The five minutes of it that I actually watched……..

  19. Vanessa says:

Horrid… absolutely horrid. We took it out after we met the scary monkey… “Oh, the horror” – this line in the movie sums it up at the 19 minute mark! Don’t waste your time or your money! Thank goodness we got it out the redbox and only wasted a $1!

  20. Leanne says:

I rented this movie by accident thinking it was the Shrek Puss in Boots Movie. It was the most terrible movie I have ever seen. My 3 yr old daughter who loves cartoons, couldn’t watch it. Do not rent it, its a waste of money and time.

  21. Nerys says:

Really, really BAD. Really, really strange, like a weird hallucination. Not something the kids enjoyed either.

  22. Christine says:

I agree wrost movie ever!!!! I am reading all the comments and am glad it wasn’t just me that made the mistake of thinking it was the Shrek Puss in Boots character. The characters and story was awful….didn’t even watch the whole movie. TERRIBLE!!!!!! I want my money back.

  23. rachel says:

Worst annimated movie ever! I didnt even know annimation could be that bad in this day and age!! Voices didnt match their mouth movement, william Shatner sounded horrible very painful to watch hahaha. And the storyline was kinda stupid.. DONT WATCH!!

  24. Michelle says:

oh my good god…kill me now….my husband and his best friend are making me watch this horrid excuse for a movie….they have this thing about finding the worst movie in the shop…well, they have succeeded…fur elise on the kazoo…seriously? the chamberlin is seriously scary, the princess is, shall we say not a role model for children? and the wardrobe…they are the worst dressed animated characters i have ever seen…and puss, let’s not even get started on that one….kill me now…they are still making me watch this abomination…heaven help me…they intend to watch the whole thing…and no, they are not drunk…ok, we’ve met the rasta pianist monkey…nooooooooooooooooooo

  25. michelle says:

Rented this thinking it was the Dream Works movie. This was obviously not it! Voices were terrible and not interesting at all, William’s voice sounded more like winnie the pooh. Just terrible! Was the Queen supposed to sound like a bumbling idiot, or drunk? The story seemed like something Wes Craven would put together, very dark. Wish I could have gotten my money back! Don’t rent!

  26. Russ Anderson says:

Everybody is correct! This movie was THE WORST. We couldn’t stomach more than 3 minutes before we ripped it out of the DVD player! William Shatner I think was trying to ride in on the coat tails of the upcoming Dreamworks Puss In Boots — which is what we thought we were renting. Thank goodness we didn’t actually BUY this DVD.

  27. michelle says:

I agree with everybody! I rented this movie for my daughter thinking it was the Puss In Boots from Shrek and it was a horriable mistake. The Queen sounds drunk or high or something. Puss in Boots’ voice (William Shatner) was terriable the graphics were terriable. I don’t even give the movie one star. I think this was the poorest movie I’ve seen in a long time. Absolutly TERRIABLE!!!!

  28. Peter Tosh says:

I’ve been hoodwinked! I’ve seen previews for the puss i n boots off shrek so i thought they gave him his own movie. I guess this is a sorry excuse for a rendition of the classic tale. William Shatner…You commanded a ship well through space decades ago. YOU SUCK AS A MAGICAL CAT. How could NONE of the editors, actors, directors notice that this movie is HORRIBLE???? Save 79 minutes of your life!

  29. Sarah says:

NOT GOOD!! Don’t waste the 79 minutes! All of the voices were terrible! Did anyone else think that the Queen sounded DRUNK the whole movie?

  30. john says:

the movie was terrible. I had to turn it off. Wife fell alseep.

  31. Sam says:

79 min of pure torture !!

  32. omar says:

William Shatner’s voice was horrible, just like a fly’s buzz in my ear, i couldnt stand it. Movie deserves a -1 star.

  33. tamera says:

Im sorry but this movie was so bad it was inappropriate for children didnt make sense the voices were awful it hurt my brain trying to understand what was happening i dont even want to think about it anymore

  34. Clarisa says:

Wow this movie sucks. The animation and voice of the characters are horrible and very outdated. Sad.
