Storyline:

DreamWorks Pictures’ “War Horse,” director Steven Spielberg’s epic adventure, is a tale of loyalty, hope and tenacity set against a sweeping canvas of rural England and Europe during the First World War. “War Horse” begins with the remarkable friendship between a horse named Joey and a young man called Albert, who tames and trains him. When they are forcefully parted, the film follows the extraordinary journey of the horse as he moves through the war, changing and inspiring the lives of all those he meets—British cavalry, German soldiers, and a French farmer and his granddaughter—before the story reaches its emotional climax in the heart of No Man’s Land.

The First World War is experienced through the journey of this horse—an odyssey of joy and sorrow, passionate friendship and high adventure. “War Horse” is one of the great stories of friendship and war— a successful book, it was turned into a hugely successful international theatrical hit that is currently on Broadway. It now comes to screen in an epic adaptation by one of the great directors in film history.

  3. Mel says:

Absolutely stunning film was begging someone to come and see it with to find it was what I expected. AMAZING can’t wait for it to come out on DVD 🙂 i definently say 5 stars

  4. Charlie says:

This movie was terrific, I didn’t think it was possible for Hollywood to produce a good movie that had no sex or four letter expliclatives in it! It did have violence, but because of it being based on a true story the violence was believable. The movie is one of my “see it again” movies.

  5. Alexa Richards says:

I love War Horse. The bond between Joey and Albert is similar to the bond between me and my horse, Fox. I rate this film five stars! This will forever be my all time favorite horse movie! 🙂

  6. Mary says:

This movie touched my heart to the point where I could not control the tears for these brave horses. I learned that over 10 milltion horses gave their lives during WWI. I did some research and learned that War Horse the book, was in part based on a true War Horse named Warrior, owned by Jack Seely. Warrior survived to live for 32 years. The movie War Horse deserved more recognition at the recent Academy Awards. The movie The Artist was boring! No substance!

  7. Rachel Bauserman says:

I thought this movie was an amazing movie. The plot line was terrific! It was sad and in some parts I cried. But it really makes you think about the pain and suffering these horses went through and how tough they really were. I think it is just heartbreaking, the bond between joey and albert. In the end, they always find their way back to eachother. This movie gave me a sense of peace and I really would say that it has bumped itself up to my favorite movie so far! I really thougt that it should’ve gotten an oscar but I guess being nominated is a huge honor! 🙂 Awesome job spielberg!!
