  1. Karin Wilmot says:

I rarely go to see films. But I sure am glad I went to see this one. It was amazing! As a result of seeing it, I have become a huge fan of Rooney Mara. I would go see a movie of she were in it in future. The only other actress I have said that about was Julia Roberts after seeing ‘Erin Brockovich’ many years ago. I too hope Rooney and Daniel Craig reunite for hoped for sequels in the Steig Larsson trilogy.

I have also read all three books. Wonderful author. His premature death is so sad.

  2. Lil says:

I loved this movie and will buy it as soon as the DVD is available. I actually went back and saw it a second time at the theater – a rare thing for me. I have seen the Swedish Trilogy and read the three books (also twice) and while the movies were very good – subtitles don’t bug me – I thought this new version and Rooney Mara as Lisbeth were even better.

I hope they will reunite and make the sequels with this cast.

  4. InCali says:

I agree with the above. I never read the books or saw the movie, but was intrigued by the trailers. By the time is was ready to be released, it had made it to the top of my “must see” movies (good work marketing guys and gals). I was NOT disappointed. While I was hoping it would be good, I didn’t have any particular expectations. I liked just about everything about it; although, to be honest, I was rather stunned by some of the scenes (yes, THOSE scenes). While occasionally knocked back on my heels, I sat there entranced and it didn’t seem any longer than a 1 1/2 to 2 hour movie (2 hours max). The thing that surprised me the most was Rooney’s character Lisbeth. I NEVER expected her to be such a likable person. That hard outer shell and mistrust of most others, was an understandable defense mechanism. She was also able to express the feelings of the person beneath that shell in a remarkable way. Really good movie. They make movies like this sometimes, but “Not often enough, in my opinion”.

  5. Stephen Taggart says:

After reading the trilogy of books, and watching the trilogy of films which i thought were excellent i was really looking forward to David Finchers version of the Girl with the dragon tattoo. I was not disappointed at all, Daniel Craig was brilliant in the role, as well as Rooney Mara which i thought did a better performance than the orignal actress (Ola Rapace) who was also brillant. Can not wait till out on dvd, please hurry up

Wow….GREAT movie….I didn’t even release it was 2:30 hours long!

  7. Rick says:

The acting was excellent by numerous veteran actors which complimented each other and the story. Location and settings further made the the story line seem more interesting. The contrast of right from wrong was so obvious and violent that I was shocked for a long period of time. Craig and Rooney were excellent and were showcased by the sets and the brilliant driection and scripts they were given. This film deserves an Oscar which I feel the part that Rooney played was most deserving. She will have a long and successful career in the acting community. I was glad to have seen this work of art.

  8. Austin says:

I went to see this and I wasn’t expecting much. At all. But now it’s my favorite movie. If you watch it you’ll surly agree.
