  2. Joe Cabello says:

I think generally this movie suffered from coming out at a bad time, when a lot of people are focused on Sea World and basically NOT using animals as entertainment. If you can get past that, this movie is a lot of fun and promotes the RIGHT type of treatment of animals. Being overtly wholesome, it leans a little more to the kids and grandparents of the world, but the acting and story are solid enough to keep moms and dads entertained, plus who can’t get behind an uplifting story about an animal? Especially a dolphin. If there wasn’t so much controversy around Sea World I think this movie could be considered the new Flipper, though I think that time has passed for our culture.
