1 Visitor Review for Dolores

  1. Dolores Wiarco says:

Well, let me start by telling you that I met Dolores about a year and a half ago in Pasadena. She actually ate at the same table that our group was eating at. At the time, the only thing I knew about Dolores was that she had worked along side Cesar Chavez. Had I known what I know now because of this amazing documentary, I don’t know what I would have done being in her presence. What an amazing mujer! What an amazing mujer, Latina, mother and activist.

I was so impressed by the documentary that I went to see it on 3 different occasions just to take more women to see it. I am a librarian at a middle school in Ontario, California and have flyers of the documentary here in my library. I also ordered some books on her life and as a result have students that now know who Dolores Huerta is. I believe that the documentary should be shown at all our schools so that our students can see that positive change begins within ourselves and that we should never take the easy route when it comes to fighting for what is right even when it means going against established rules.
